Willow
Welcome to Willow Class!
My name is Miss Salt and I’m very excited to be teaching Willow Class this year. We’re lucky to have Miss Martinez working with us too every day, and on Thursday the children will be taught by Mrs Noonan.
Our P.E day is Tuesday. Please send your child’s P.E. kit into school at the start of the half term, where it will stay. This helps make sure they’re always ready for lessons and also gives them chance to practise the very important Year 1 skill of getting changed by themselves! Just a reminder that long hair should be tied up and earrings taken out on P.E days if possible.
Throughout the term, children will bring home different pieces of homework – this will be given out on Wednesday and due back on the Monday. Each task will come with a short note explaining what to do when needed.
Reading is a big part of Willow Class and your child will bring books home to enjoy with you each week. We’d love you to share the stories together, talk about them and then jot down a quick comment in their reading record. These books will be swapped on Mondays and Thursdays.
If you’d like to ask about anything, please do come and see us at the start or end of the day. Your support makes such a difference and together we’ll make sure this year is a really positive one for the children.
Thank you,
Miss Salt
