Rowan
Welcome to the new school year!
My name is Mrs Clack and I am looking forward to teaching your children in Rowan Class this year. We are also lucky to have Mrs Donaldson, Miss Lowe and Miss Clarkson working in our class this year too. Mrs Lee will teach your children on a Thursday afternoon.
The class have PE on Friday, so please send your child’s P.E. kit into school at the start of each half term. In order to ensure the safety of your child during these sessions, please ensure that long hair is tied back and earrings are removed.
Your child will be set a variety of different homework tasks throughout the term. The homework will be accompanied by a letter explaining the task and when it needs to be completed by.
Your child will receive reading books each week, which I hope you will share and enjoy the love of reading with your child. Please encourage your child to read the book and discuss their understanding. Please then sign the book and comment on their progress or discussions you have shared. Your child’s reading book will be changed every Monday and Thursday.
If you have any further questions, please do come and ask a member of our team, who will be on duty at school drop off and pick up. We thank you for your invaluable support at home and look forward to a positive and successful year with your children.
