Cherry class have had another busy week!
In Maths, we have been looking at angles and using a protractor to measure them. Getting to grips with a protractor takes time, but the children are doing great – those who have mastered the skill helping others around them. In English, we have started writing a safety leaflet for trekking through the Amazon Rainforest. We have enjoyed reading a number of texts based in the Amazon and the children are really loving this topic. In Geography and guided reading, we have been learning about the layers of the Amazon and what animals can be found in each section – this too has been linked to our Science, where we have been looking at the life cycles of lots of different animals. In music, Cherry class have also loved getting stuck in to the Samba beats, during music.
The children have also really enjoyed continuing on with our Athletics in PE. They have been focusing on developing and improving their running and jumping skills and are moving on to throwing techniques, next week.
