Prayer and Liturgy: Asking God for Help
This week, Nancy, Zachary, Maria and Khalid did a wonderful job of leading our class Prayer and Liturgy. The theme was ‘Asking’, inspired by Luke 18:35–43, where a blind man calls out to Jesus and asks Him for help.
Together, we reflected on how it is okay to ask for help when we need it. Just as the man in the Gospel trusted Jesus, we can trust God too. Through prayer, we can ask God to guide us, give us strength and support us when things feel difficult or when we are unsure what to do.
The children also set us a challenge for the week: to listen carefully and try to do what our mums, dads and grown-ups at home ask of us, without needing to be asked lots of times! Whether it is tidying our things, helping around the house or completing a job, we can show our love and respect through our actions.
A huge well done to Nancy, Zachary, Maria and Khalid for confidently leading us in such a thoughtful time of prayer and reflection.
Our challenge: What can you do this week to listen, help and show love through your actions?
