It has been a very exciting week in Year 6 as we took part in our school elections!
A huge congratulations to all of our Year 6 children who shared their presentations yesterday for our elected school roles. We were incredibly proud to see so many pupils step out of their comfort zones, speak with confidence, and share their ideas, passions, and ambitions for our school community.
Taking that step to put yourself forward is an achievement in itself, and each presentation reflected the talent, character, and leadership qualities within our Year 6 cohort. The standard of presentations was exceptionally high, and every child who took part should be very proud of their effort and courage. Well done to everyone involved! Keep an eye out for a full run down of results next week!

Alongside election week, we have continued our learning across the curriculum. In English, we have been exploring the features of biographies, identifying how they are structured and the language used to present information about a person's life and achievements. We look forward to using these features in our own writing in the coming weeks.
In Maths, we have been developing our understanding of place value and exploring numbers up to 10,000,000. The children have been reading, writing, ordering and comparing large numbers and demonstrating excellent reasoning skills.
In RE, we have been considering the relationship between science and religion through our study of the Creation Story. The children have engaged thoughtfully in discussions about different perspectives on creation and have shown great maturity in sharing and listening to a range of ideas.
It has been another fantastic week in Year 6. Thank you for your continued support, and we hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
