This week in Forest School, Year 3 enjoyed a variety of exciting activities that helped develop teamwork, communication, and observation skills.
One of our favourite activities was Blind Fetch. In this challenge, one child wore a blindfold while their team guided them around the field to find an object and bring it back safely. The children had to use clear communication, listening skills, and trust to help their friends succeed. It was great to see everyone working together so supportively.
Some groups became autumn detectives, exploring the forest to look for colourful signs that the season is changing. The children searched carefully for leaves, berries, and other natural clues that showed autumn is beginning to arrive.
Other children took part in a mini scavenger hunt. Working in small groups, they searched for a variety of natural objects found in the forest. The activity encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and close observation of the natural environment.
We had a fantastic session outdoors and were impressed by the children's enthusiasm, cooperation, and respect for nature. We are already looking forward to our next Forest School adventure!
