On Monday afternoon, our Little Saplings and Cherry classes came together for their June Book Share as part of the National Year of Reading 26 – and what a lovely afternoon it was!
The room was filled with excitement as children from both classes settled down side by side, ready to share stories, listen carefully, and enjoy the magic of reading. There was a real buzz as the children talked about their books, showed illustrations they loved, and recommended stories to one another.
One of the most special parts of the afternoon was seeing children of different ages learning together. It was wonderful to see children helping one another with tricky words, laughing at funny moments in stories, and sharing their enthusiasm for reading. The atmosphere was calm, purposeful, and full of joy.
We are so proud of how both Little Saplings and Cherry class embraced the opportunity. Events like this remind us that reading is not just a skill, but a shared experience that brings us together.
We look forward to our next Book Share already!
