What a Fantastic Day at the PESSPA Sports Festival!
We had an amazing day at the PESSPA Sports Festival, joining around 30 schools from across Preston for a huge celebration of sport and teamwork!
Throughout the day, our pupils took part in Year 6 Cricket, Year 6 Netball, Year 6 Frisbee, Tennis, Year 3 Giant Skills and Year 3 Football. There was a real buzz around the festival from the moment we arrived, and we couldn't wait to get started.
The children played lots of matches and took part in a variety of exciting activities against other schools. There were plenty of goals scored, wickets taken, catches made, rallies won and fantastic individual performances throughout the day. More importantly, every child gave 100%, showed great determination and encouraged their teammates every step of the way.
It was wonderful to see so many examples of excellent sportsmanship. The children showed respect to opponents, officials and staff, celebrated each other's successes and never gave up, even when matches were challenging. They represented St Clare's brilliantly and should be incredibly proud of themselves.
One of the best parts of the day was having the opportunity to meet children from other schools, make new friends and enjoy playing sport together. There were smiles everywhere and plenty of excitement as the matches and activities unfolded.
When we returned to school, the children were absolutely buzzing! They couldn't wait to tell everyone about the goals they had scored, the matches they had won, the skills they had learned and the fun they had throughout the day. It was clear that the festival had created lots of special memories that will stay with them for a long time.
A huge thank you to all the staff, both from St Clare's and the wider PESSPA team, who helped organise and support the event. Your hard work made such a fantastic day possible.
Well done to all of our pupils for representing St Clare's with pride, enthusiasm, teamwork and excellent sportsmanship. We are incredibly proud of you all!
