We’re thrilled to announce that St Clare’s Catholic Primary School has been awarded the School Games Platinum Mark for the 2024/25 academic year!

The School Games Mark, launched in 2012 by the Government and facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust, celebrates schools that are committed to promoting physical activity and developing competition both within their school and across the community. We’re so proud to have been recognised for all our efforts this year.

Some of our highlights this year include:

  • Achieving the School Games Mark for the tenth year in a row.
  • Organising and hosting local inter-school competitions in sports like football, athletics, and netball.
  • Boosting participation in extracurricular sports activities.
  • Launching new clubs and giving students even more opportunities to get involved.
  • Strengthening our partnerships with local sports clubs and community teams to help our pupils enjoy sport both in and out of school.

For our application, we had to meet criteria across participation, competition, workforce, and clubs, and it’s amazing to see all the hard work pay off.

A huge thank you to:

  • Our amazing pupils, for their dedication, teamwork, and enthusiasm all year long.
  • The fantastic staff team, for their support in helping our students achieve their sporting goals.
  • Our local sports partners, for providing a range of opportunities for our students to get involved.
  • Our parents and carers, for all your support – whether it’s helping with transport or cheering us on at competitions.
