We are bursting with pride as we celebrate our fantastic Year 2 team, who competed in the Mini Skills Competition this week and brought home first place! Competing against 15 other schools, our young athletes demonstrated not only their amazing sporting ability but also outstanding teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship – values we hold dear at St Clare’s.

Throughout the event, our pupils tackled a variety of skill-based challenges, including agility, balance, and coordination activities. Their determination and enthusiasm shone through in every event, and their hard work in PE lessons clearly paid off!

But what made us most proud wasn’t just their success on the scoreboard – it was their exemplary attitude. They supported one another, cheered on their peers, and showed respect to every competitor. Several event organisers and staff members commented on their fantastic behaviour and team spirit, proving that true champions aren’t just measured by medals but by their character too.

A huge thank you to all the staff and children who helped make this event a success. And, of course, a massive WELL DONE to our incredible Year 2 team – you have made our school so proud!

Many thanks,

Mr Cummings
