We have had a very exciting week in Hazel class, we went on a magic carpet ride under the sea! We found our new story there ‘The Snail and the Whale’. We wrote an exciting account of our adventures and tried very hard to control our handwriting, making sure our letters were sitting on the line.
In maths Y1 have been learning all about place value. We have been working hard calculating what ten more and ten less than a given number would be. We have found this tricky so any extra work at home will help.
In maths Y2 have been calculating how partition numbers using whole part models and bar models.
