What a fantastic Forest School sessions Year 6 enjoyed this week!

Despite the heatwave conditions, our pupils showed great determination, teamwork and resilience throughout the sessions. They got stuck into a variety of exciting outdoor activities and made the most of every minute.

One of the highlights was giving our outdoor area a colourful refresh. The children carefully painted bedding planters and benches, working together to brighten up the space and leave a lasting contribution for everyone to enjoy. Their creativity and attention to detail were wonderful to see.

The children also put their teamwork skills to the test by building dens. Using natural materials and plenty of problem-solving, they created impressive shelters, demonstrating excellent communication and cooperation along the way.

No Forest School block would be complete without a tasty treat! Around the fire, the children toasted marshmallows and enjoyed the opportunity to relax, chat and celebrate their hard work together.

The hot weather certainly provided an extra challenge, but Year 6 showed incredible perseverance and a positive attitude throughout the sessions. Thankfully, there was a very welcome cool-down at the end of each session when the hosepipe came out! There were plenty of smiles, laughter and squeals as everyone enjoyed getting soaked and escaping the heat.

It was a brilliant week filled with creativity, adventure, resilience and fun. Well done, Year 6, for embracing every challenge and making wonderful memories together at Forest School!
