This week at Forest School, our Year 6 pupils showed fantastic creativity, teamwork, and care for their outdoor environment.

The main activity focused on designing something they think our forest area is missing. The children carefully explored the space, shared ideas, and sketched out their designs. Ideas ranged from shelters and seating areas to wildlife habitats and creative play features. Each group thought about how their design could be useful for next year’s Year 6 pupils, showing great consideration and forward thinking. It was wonderful to see such imaginative and practical ideas come to life!

In addition to designing, some children took on an important responsibility by helping to tidy and improve the forest area after the half term break. They worked hard to clear fallen branches, tidy pathways, and care for the garden spaces. Their efforts have helped make the forest a safer and more enjoyable environment for everyone.

We are incredibly proud of the teamwork, respect, and enthusiasm shown throughout the session. Year 6 continue to demonstrate excellent responsibility, creativity, and a strong connection to the natural world.

We look forward to seeing their designs develop and possibly become part of the forest for future pupils to enjoy.
