This week, we have had a lovely week full of reading and spending time with others.
On Tuesday, we visited Fulwood Library and had a wonderful time exploring all of the different books. We started by listening carefully to a story all about using kind words and thinking about how we can be kind to our friends and the people around us every day.
Afterwards, we had the chance to look around the library and explore both fiction and non-fiction books. The children were very excited to spot books about animals, space, and some familiar characters! We also got to decorate our own bookmarks, which everyone loved doing, and the children were very proud of their colourful creations. During our visit, we also found out that we can get our own library cards in lots of different designs. This was very exciting and we are hoping that we might be able to visit again one day so that some of us can get one of our own.
Then, on Wednesday, we were very happy to receive a visit from Cherry Class. We all sat together and shared books, spending some lovely quiet time reading with the bigger boys and girls. We always love spending time with the older children in school and it was so nice to see everyone chatting about stories, helping each other with reading and enjoying books together. It was a very special treat and something we would love to do again soon!
