This week, Willow Class have worked so hard completing lots of tricky assessments, and I am so proud of how well they’ve all done and how much effort they put in. By Wednesday, we definitely all felt we deserved a bit of a change of pace so we made the most of the sunny weather and took our learning outside! ☀️
Before heading out, we had a quick discussion about how to use a ruler properly and what will happen to our answers if we make a mistake! We also did a lovely job at remembering that we measure in centimetres when we use a ruler. After that, it was time to put our skills into practice!
Outside, we had a great time measuring all sorts of things - daisies, sticks, flower pots, and even the grass… which turned out to be quite tricky. There was lots of teamwork, problem-solving, careful measuring, and comparing going on.
It was lovely to see everyone so engaged and enjoying their learning in a different way. A well-deserved bit of sunshine and fresh air while still doing some fantastic maths!
