What an amazing World Book Day we had in Year 5!
First, a huge thank you to all our wonderful parents and carers. Your effort in helping the children prepare their brilliant costumes made the day feel extra magical. We were so impressed by the creativity, colour and imagination on display! Thank you also to everyone who came along to our Book Café—it was lovely to see families sharing stories, reading together and enjoying books in such a relaxed, cosy setting.
Throughout the day, Year 5 took part in a range of fun World Book Day activities, all designed to help us continue to grow our love for reading. From character quizzes and creative writing challenges to shared reading time and book-themed art, the classroom was full of excitement and imagination.
This year’s celebration links perfectly with the National Year of Reading, and we’re proud that our class is continuing to build positive reading habits. Whether it’s diving into a new adventure book, discovering fascinating facts, or enjoying a story with a friend, Year 5 are showing just how much reading can open up new worlds.
We’re already looking forward to seeing what stories and books inspire us next!
