Year 5 & 6 Explore Gender Equality with Amber from the Anne Frank Trust

Monday 11th January

What an inspiring start to the week! Our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils took part in a thought-provoking workshop led by Amber from the Anne Frank Trust, all about Gender Equality.

The session was packed with lively discussions and interactive activities. Pupils explored what gender equality really means and why it matters in everyday life. They challenged stereotypes, shared ideas about fairness, and learned how small actions can create big changes.

Amber encouraged everyone to think about how we can make our school and community more inclusive. The children were full of brilliant questions and showed real passion for making the world a fairer place for everyone.

Highlights from the morning:

  • Pupils worked together to spot and challenge gender stereotypes.
  • They reflected on how equality links to respect and kindness.
  • Everyone left feeling empowered to speak up for fairness.

We’re so proud of how engaged and thoughtful our pupils were. This workshop is just one of the ways we’re helping them grow into confident, respectful citizens.
