What a fabulous day we have had at Brockholes, especially with the wonderful weather.

We began the day by using our map skills and a compass to find the Viking Wood.  Once there we created our own maps of the area using natural things we could find.  The children then used their own maps to find hidden items in the woods.

After our lunch by the lake, we looked at all the different habitats at Brockholes.  We used binoculars to search for different birds at the lake and identified plants and trees growing in the meadow and woodland habitat.

We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
