This week we have been looking at the wider world and the animals in each of the continents. There has been a lot of interest in the different bears that are in each continent. After spending time looking at maps of the world, continents and the UK we produced our own maps of journeys we may like to go on. Mrs Martin came to see our learning and shared with us a video of her class who learnt a song about the different continents.
We have enjoyed the stories ‘No room for baby Roo’, ‘Dear Zoo’ and ‘Animal Boogie’.
In maths we have been looking at whole and part numbers, using 1:1 correspondence, what is one more and estimating how many more could fit.
We have ended our week joining all the school for the start of the Jubilee Pilgrims of Hope. After hearing about what is to come over this special year we all joined in a day of art, producing pictures and sculptures for the area competition.
