This week at Forest School, Year 4 had a wonderful time working creatively and collaboratively in the woodland.
Three groups worked together to build their very own den. They carefully chose strong sticks and branches, tested different ideas, and helped one another to make sure their den was stable and cosy. It was fantastic to see such great teamwork, problem-solving and determination as they improved their structure together.
Meanwhile, the other group became forest artists and storytellers. The children made their own clay spirits, shaping them carefully with lots of imagination. Each child then chose a special tree to be the spirit’s home. They gave their clay spirit a name and shared with the group what their spirit likes to do in the forest.
Everyone took turns to present their clay spirit, speaking clearly and confidently while listening respectfully to others. The forest was filled with creativity, storytelling and smiles.
A brilliant session full of teamwork, imagination and a deeper connection with the natural world. Well done, Year 4!
