This week has been a truly meaningful and reflective time as we walked through Holy Week together. We spent time learning, creating, praying, and discovering new ways to deepen our understanding of Jesus’ love and sacrifice.
One of our favourite parts of the week was exploring the Sorrowful Mysteries. Using art and scripture, we looked closely at the moments of Jesus’ suffering and thought about what they teach us about courage, love, and forgiveness. The children used colour, symbols, and creativity to express what these mysteries meant to them, making the stories come alive in a personal and thoughtful way.
We also had the opportunity to attend Confession, a special chance to pause, reflect, and prepare our hearts for Easter. It was a gentle reminder of God’s mercy and the joy that comes from starting anew.
As part of our Lenten journey, we took part in a Care of Creation workshop. We talked about how important it is to look after our world and explored small but meaningful ways we can care for the environment every day. Stewardship became something real and practical for us—not just an idea, but something we can live out.
To help spread the joy of Easter, we created bright and cheerful Easter cards to share hope with others. The children loved designing them, especially as we talked about the greatest message of the season—the Resurrection. Through stories, art, and discussion, we learned how Jesus rising from the dead brings new life, hope, and happiness to the world.
As we come to the end of this special week, we want to wish everyone a very Happy Easter.
May your days be filled with hope, peace, and the joy of new beginnings.
