This week, Year 6 have had an incredible time filled with learning and special moments! In Science, we carried out an exciting experiment to find out how the distance from a light source affects the size of a shadow. We discovered that when an object is closer to the light, its shadow becomes much larger, and when it moves further away, the shadow gets smaller and sharper. It was fascinating to see how light travels in straight lines and how objects block it to create shadows.
Alongside our scientific investigations, we received something very special—letters from the Royal Family in response to the environmental work we completed earlier this term! It was amazing to know that our efforts to help the planet were recognised at such an important level.
To end the week on a high, we celebrated with our Reception buddies at a Buddy Party, enjoying games, laughter, and lots of fun together. What a fantastic week of science, royal recognition, and friendship!
Have a lovely weekend with your families.
